Goals and Objectives


Tate Group's goal is to provide consultation services, at no initial cost, to prospective customers to engineer and design new or expanded facilities in order to increase capacity and efficiency.

We analyze volume capabilities based on the product type to determine the optimal shipping infrastructure. We strive to provide customers with innovative improved efficiency in their current operational facilities with realistic and reasonable capital investment while minimizing risk.

Tate Group's experience in industrial developments are key across the railroad systems, providing an intimate knowledge of their respective territories and available rail-served sites, as well as extensive contacts with the economic-development allies in their areas.

Terry M. Tate

Terry has over 41 years of experience in transportation operations management with Union Pacific Railroad and Southern Pacific Railroad. Terry most recently served as General Director of Quality Service for Union Pacific Railroad, providing marketing, sales, and business-development leadership for the Western Region of the United States. Terry has had roles at Union Pacific Railroad that range from checking the mechanical functions of trains to managing business development. Terry has had great success throughout his career, and is taking his knowledge and expertise to enhance rail service for his future clients.
